Help me make my music of the SPOILERS! )

In all seriousness, though--Phantom is a decent musical. The acting is solid, the Phantom has a personality and is more relatable (which I like in my tragic psychological trainwrecks), and even if that doesn't sell you...well, let's just say that this musical is to Phantom of the Opera what mockbusters are to blockbusters. It's got lines so entertainingly cheesy and bad that you can't help but be entertained. But don't take my word for it--if you have a chance, check it out and see for yourself.

...I kind of want to try my hand at writing a version of Phantom of the Opera now. Except Erik is a gay kid who was kicked out of his house when he came out and now lives in some sort of abandoned building, and falls in love with a jock who comes to practice there or something because he likes musicals and dancing but his family pressured him into football and manry stuff. We'll see if it goes anywhere.
